Signal Peak Hike

Probably a final hike of the season before winter hits this week!

Late in the day, the sun is getting low, which casts awesome shadows and golden light.

On the ridge of Signal Peak is an interesting old stone structure. It's the abandoned Central Pacific Railroad Fire Lookout Station that was operational from 1876-1934.

And this was a lovely alpenglow sunset on our way back down to close out another beautiful day, beautiful hike.
